Rotterdam is a city defined by constant demolition, temporary spaces, cultural shifts, and the renewal that comes with it. Nothing feels truly permanent. Because it isn't. The harbor cranes swing, the facades change, and whole neighborhoods reinvent themselves between one winter and the next.

There is a cycle in the city. Where something ends, another begins. Through this lens we understand that for something new to start, something first must finish. Each end fuels another beginning. This is not loss — it is the condition for everything that follows. The empty lot is not a void but a canvas. The demolished wall is an invitation.

We want to use this mindset to fuel more creativity through a digital creative space. To begin the cycle of creating, we offer the first part of this exchange. We make, and then we exchange all that we've made to fuel new makings. What you leave behind becomes material for the next person. What they leave behind becomes yours.

How it works

  1. Watch the video all the way through. Don't skip ahead.
  2. Take one screenshot at the moment that feels right to you.
  3. Upload your screenshot before the timer runs out.
  4. Your image becomes part of the next cycle. Someone else will see it.
  5. Come back tomorrow. The space will have changed.
